Installation README


This package installs an updated version of the device driver and
application suite for the Broadcom BCM57xx onboard
Ethernet that comes preinstalled in your computer.

This package contains the base Broadcom Ethernet drivers as well
as applications and utilities such as the Broadcom Advanced Control
Suite (BACS), the Broadcom Management Application Programming
Interface (BMAPI), Diagnostics, etc.

This package can be extracted under a Windows 32-bit and 64-bit operating system, 
such as Microsoft Windows 7.

This update requires approximately 15MB of space on your hard drive.

Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation.


Downloading the update
----------------------------------
1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save
   the downloaded file.


Extracting and installating the update
------------------------------------------------------

Windows 7 (32-bit)

1.  Click Start, then click Start Search.
2.  Type c3etn00us17_32.exe in the search field, then click Find Now.
    This will locate the file you just downloaded. 
3.  Double-click the c3etn00us17_32.exe icon.
4.  Click Next. Read the license agreement.
5.  Click I accept the terms in the license agreement. 
6.  Click Next.
7.  Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to
    C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\ETHERNET\c3etn00us17.
8.  Click Next. 
9.  Click Install to continue installation.


Windows 7 (64-bit)

1.  Click Start, then click Start Search.
2.  Type c3etn00us17_64.exe in the search field, then click Find Now.
    This will locate the file you just downloaded. 
3.  Double-click the c3etn00us17_64.exe icon.
4.  Click Next. Read the license agreement.
5.  Click I accept the terms in the license agreement. 
6.  Click Next.
7.  Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to
    C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\ETHERNET\c3etn00us17.
8.  Click Next. 
9.  Click Install to continue installation.

If you have the Broadcom_57xx, 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet Network
Controller.
